Walking for a cause

Yesterday was Race for the Cure. It is an amazing event to participate in. My company always participates and this was my third year walking in it. It is a hard phenomenon to explain because it's such an amazing sight. Even though it was almost 100 degrees as soon as I hit the top of the hill and saw the sea of people walking in front of me I got goosebumps. In total there was 65,200 people who signed up. The race was 3 miles long with survivors, families, comapanies and friends. Radio stations were set-up on every corner to encourage the participants and cheer them along. I will continue to walk every year because a cure is needed for this terrible cancer.
